各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

這個六月，活動一個接一個！我們今年參加了「在職小學音樂科教師粵劇教學培訓先導計劃」，音樂老師透過計劃，在課堂裏實踐教授粵劇課程，故於六月二日(五)，我們接受了《戲曲之旅》月刊的訪問，訪問家長、學生及老師有關這個計劃的成效和意見。

In June, it is the Professional Development Exchange Month. On Friday, 2nd June 2023, we were interviewed by a periodical called ‘The Journey of Drama”. It is because we participated in a pilot scheme called ‘In-service Music Teacher Training in Chinese Opera Pedagogy’. Parents, students and teachers gave comments and revised the effectiveness.

由於疫情關係，家長教師會已經多年沒有舉辦的親子旅行了。在六月三日(六)我們一行共180位家長、學生、老師浩浩蕩蕩出發，上午先到馬灣公園欣賞青馬大橋及眺望藍巴勒海峽。中午，大家前往荃灣的「校長燒肉」享用豐富的燒肉火鍋自助餐。下午，我們先到三棟屋博物館參觀，之後，我們前往港島中環大館參觀，大家不單四處與舊式建築物「打咭」，更一嘗「坐牢」的滋味。最後，大約在下午四時，大家也帶著興奮心情，但疲倦的身體回程，相信大家盡興而歸，享受了一天天倫之樂。

Owing to the pandemic, Parent-Teacher Association had not held parental picnic for several years. On Saturday, 3rd June 2023, around 180 teachers, parents and students went to Ma Wan Park where we could see the Tsing Ma Bridge and Rambler Channel in the morning. We went to a restaurant called “Principal Roast Meat” to have a lunch buffet in the afternoon. After lunch, we first went to Sam Tung Uk Museum, then we went to Tai Kwun which is located in Central on Hong Kong Island. There are lots of old architectures and it was a police station and prison. Some students can try to be in jail. Around 4, we went back to school for dismissal. Although it was exhausted, it was such a great opportunity for a gathering.

上月我前往北京參加了「香港中小學校長領導研習班」，並參加了在六月六日（二）在教育局九龍塘教育服務中心舉行成果交流分享會，我們約90位校長又可以再次聚首一堂，大家分享在不同範疇的事務，令大家獲益良多。

I went to Beijing to attend a course about the leadership for Secondary and Primary Principals. On Tuesday, 6th June 2023, all the principals gathered again in Education Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre for the sharing session. We shared different domains about what we have learnt and it was such a fruitful learning experience.

仁愛堂葉德海幼稚園的K3同學，分別在六月十二日（一）及十四日（三）到本校參加小一體驗日課程，他們參加了英文課、數學課、體育課等，亦體驗了小息時段，目的是希望他們體驗一下小學生活。他們上課投入，很享受每個活動。另外，屬校的朱瑞蘭（中英文）幼稚園也在六月二十八日（三）到來參加小一體驗日，他們已經不是第一次踏足LTY，所以他們十分習慣，而且愉快地享受每一刻的小學生活。

K3 students from Yan Oi Tong Allan Yap Kindergarten came to visit our school on 12th and 14th June 2023 for the P.1 curriculum taster fair. They joined in English lesson, Math lesson, P.E. lesson and so forth. They also had to experience the recess. It aims on experiencing the P.1 school life. They felt happy as they enjoyed all the learning activities. Also, K3 students of LKWFS Chu Sui Lan (Anglo-Chinese) Kindergarten came to enjoy the P.1 Curriculum Taster Fair. They were not the first time to come to LTY and they got used to it. They felt relaxed to enjoy every moment of being P.1 students.

六月二十日（二）屬校中學獲排球總會邀請接待中國女排，多位名將出現，與大家分享打球的心得，我們的學生也向她們提問呢！之後她們指導學生一些排球技術。最令學生期待的環節—示範賽，大家都十分興奮！這真是一次難得的機會。

On Tuesday, 20th June 2023, it was such a memorable day as our affiliated secondary school was invited to accommodate China Women Volleyball Team. Several celebrities came and shared their experiences with all the audiences. Our student asked them question. Afterwards, they taught the students how to play volleyball and have a demonstration on the tact in the competition. Everyone was so excited and kept on asking them to take pictures with. It was such a precious opportunity.

六月二十一日（三）下午課程主任、中文科主任、非華語中文老師及我一起前往香港大學參加了由香港大學主辦的「成長易—高效能多元文化中文學習及小一銜接」校本支援計劃。我們的分享得到教授的高度評價，我們更為一年級同學創作及印製了一本繪本，對學生來說，這真是一次有意義的學習經歷。

In the afternoon of Wednesday, 21st June 2023, Ms. Lau, Mr. Chung, Mr. Ching and Mr. Cheung went to Hong Kong University to do a presentation. I showed up to support them. As we joined a scheme about The effectiveness of learning Chinese in multiculturalism and the interface between kindergarten and primary school. Our presentation received positive feedback with compliment. A school-based book was published which was written by our P.1 students and teachers. It was such a meaningful learning experience.

在十二月的聯校陸運會，由於天氣不穩，我們比賽項目減少了，小一、小二的同學未能參加當天的活動。因此，我們答應會舉辦一個校內小型運動會讓初小學生參加。在六月二十六日（一）下午，我們舉辦了「親子競技嘉年華」，雖然項目不多，但同學可以與老師、家長一起玩樂，十分投入又開心。歡笑聲及歡呼聲此起彼落，勝利已經不重要，享受與小朋友一起的時刻比甚麼都重要，看到小朋友和家長的投入，日後也要多舉辦同類型活動。

In December, Sports day was held but P.1 and P.2 students did not join as the weather was not stable and it was re-held after several years. We promised to prepare another mini-sports day for them. On Monday, 26th June 2023, a parental sports day was held in the school hall. Although there were several items, parents, students and teachers could play happily together. The joyful and happy voices and applauses kept on filling the school hall. It was not important who is the winner. They just enjoyed that moment. We will try out best to hold different kinds of parental activities for our students and parents for reinforcing our relationship.

六月二十九日（四）下午我與張嘉進老師、6A 鄒桂任和6B葉禮娜參加了香港學界體育聯會屯門區小學分會2022 - 2023年度周年頒獎典禮。所有屯門小學的體育運動精英也齊集在一起，大家十分喜悅等待領獎，過去的辛勤練習，終於有回報了。我校的兩位同學取得田徑的傑出運動員獎項，分別在跳遠及推鉛球。張老師也取得「傑出教練」。今年在田徑場上可算是大豐收，下年我們會繼續努力，爭取佳績。

On Thursday, 29th June 2023 afternoon, Mr. Cheung, 2 athletes from 6A and 6B accompanied with me to participate the prize presentation of The Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation (Tuen Mun). All the elite athletes in Tuen Mun were gathered. They were waiting for get the medals and trophies as they had spent a lot of time on training. They finally got their rewards. Our 2 athletes performed so well on long jump and shot put. Mr. Cheung also got a certificate of outstanding coach. It was such a harvest and we will keep it up in the coming year.

今年六月份天氣多是這有兩類—（1）不停下大雨，行雷；（2）太陽不斷照射，十分炎熱。這時候，學校的花草樹木得到雨水的滋潤，也有不同的「收穫」。最明顯我是有不同的果實呈現在大家面前，令人感覺到大地的生機，大家能夠找到校園裏的芒果、大樹菠蘿、石榴、無花果、黃皮嗎？另外校園盛開的花朵也不少，學校生機處處。藉此，要多謝一些同學願意參加校園小園丁，每天早一點回校協助澆水及除草，令校園更有生氣。

There are two different kinds of weather in June, (1) keep on raining and thundering; (2) the sun shining and it is extremely hot. Indeed, it is good for our trees, grass and flower in our campus. Therefore, we have a good harvest such as mangoes, dragon fruit, lychee, longan and so on. Of course, the blossom of flowers could be found and made the school more lively. I want to take this chance to thank our Little Gardener’ to come back to school earlier to water the plants and do clean up. It makes the school beautiful.
